Body parts- The head
Reading with Red Fox and Friends
Red Fox: Tiffany, do you remember learning about body parts?
Tiffany: Yes, I do Red Fox. We learnt about the head, shoulders, arms, hands, fingers, legs, feet, toes and the back.
Red Fox: Let's learn about the body parts on your head like your eyes. We have two eyes. Eyes help us to see.
Tiffany: Ears, we have two ears. Ears help us to hear things like people talking and birds singing.
Red Fox: I like to listen to music. I listen with my ears.
Tiffany: We also have a nose; a nose helps you to smell. Flowers and chocolate are good smells but rubbish or trash has a bad smell.
Red Fox: We also have a mouth, we use this to talk, eat and sing.
Tiffany: Did you know there is a song to help you to learn the parts of the body?
Red Fox: Can you sing it to me please Tiffany?
Tiffany: Yes, I can. Head, shoulders, knees and toes, knees and toes, head, shoulders, knees and toes, knees and toes. Eyes and ears and mouth and nose. Head, shoulders, knees and toes, knees and toes.
Red Fox: What a great song Tiffany. Now I can remember the names of body parts and the body parts that are on my head. Eyes, ears, mouth, nose, head, hair, shoulders, arms, hands, fingers, legs, feet, toes and the back. We have learnt so much today.
Tiffany: Yes, we have learnt a lot today. Well done!
